http:// Our Mission is to empower immigrants and their families to become full participants in their community. Our work is guided by our organizational values, which include: collaboration and community building, education, excellence, equality of opportunity, stewardship, and respect for human dignity. We accomplish our mission through our four key programs: Healthy Families, Engaged Citizens, Productive Parents, and Successful Children.
Located in Round Lake Park and North Chicago and established in 2000 as a result of a partnership between local legislators, community leaders, and law enforcement, Mano a Mano serves as a nexus of the local immigrant community, offering a one-stop-shop for health resources and services, educational classes and workshops, and immigration legal services for some of the hardest to reach, most vulnerable families and individuals.
Serving over 8,000 individuals every year, Mano a Mano is the only immigrant-serving agency in Lake County that provides a comprehensive array of culturally competent supportive services to our growing immigrant communities.
Our Vision is an integrated Lake County where everyone has access to opportunity and paths to success.
